Motor Mounting by NiezamRC

Motor mounting can sometime be a tricky part especially when you have different motor for a different plane design that you are building.

The most common mounting people use is the stick mounting. It's easy to assemble and require less technical modification. Usually this mounting were being use for a small motor such as Tower Pro CD Rom motor. For this DIY tips and tricks, I'll be showing on how to make a motor mount for another type of method mounting your motor.

An unwanted detergent bottles that laying around with no use, seems to be valueable again. Please take care extra caution when handling a chemical base detergent. It can cause a side effect to your skin or can cause serious injuries if swallowen. Please make sure you have wash and rinse it thoroughly before continue with the next step.

The Annotations

Find your self an unwanted detergent bottle, of course..with the cap.
 
The bottle cap that were needed.
Test fit the motor and push it inside the bottle cap.
Now the time to drill the holes for your motor mounting. You can use drill or soldering iron for this holes.
An air hole ventilation is curcial in order to avoid your motor getting overheated.
Make the necessary groove on yout plane head to fit in the mouting.
Once you have satisfied with the fitting, epoxy or use hot glue to stick the mounting in place.
You are done!

Before you run your RC: Controller on first, aircraft on second. Never turn your RC airplane or helicopter on with your controller off. Another controller in the area may take over and fly your airplane or helicopter into a tree, a power line, or right into the ground.
